“ We spent four nights at Riff Hikkaduwa and dined at True Blue on three of those nights. Looking back, we wish we had dined there every night because the experience was so outstanding. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance and decor created a lovely dining atmosphere. I tried the passionfruit cocktail, which quickly became my favorite. We ordered the okra salad, kaarage chicken, age dashi tofu, tuna and salmon sashimi, and various rolls – all of which exceeded our expectations. However, it was the beef tataki that stole the show for us; we couldn't get enough of it! We found ourselves wishing that True Blue was located in New York City so we could order it every night! Regarding some of the negative reviews about the tax and service charge, this practice seems to be standard among hotel restaurants in the area. Criticizing the restaurant solely for this reason seems unfair, considering the exceptional dining experience they provide. ”

“ Beautiful restaurant with great views overlooking the Indian Ocean. The sushi was solid and the beer was cold. Loved the live music as well. The tax was higher than we expected it to be, but all in all, we recommend it for a fancy night out in Hikkaduwa. ”

“ We had a really nice dinner at True Blue. Starting our aperitive on the rooftopbar with a cloudy Sunset and thunderlightning. It was magical. Inside the restaurant you could choose to sit inside with AC or outside. We choose inside and our waiter Nuwan served our table. Everything was done in the right order. The staff is working with on online tablet and ears. So communication is very good with the kitchen and management. We choose a Pinot Noir from New Zealand. Unfortunatly there wasnt any. So we choose the spanish version instead. Food that was ordered, didnt take more than 10 minutes. So we were glad we only selected our starters first and later our main course. The night was nice and so was the food. At the end we finished our second wine (Shiraz from New Zealand) outside. Ending our night by taking the Tuk Tuk to our Hotel Nisala Villas. ”
